![]() ![]() When that happened you migrated to a modern Spectrum pack and lineup. Perhaps you did it to save money or something. If you had a super old box back in the day, when you swapped it it might have also been a Change of Service not knowing it. For example NESN was available in Florida and only those old accounts can see it. On accounts that had service prior to the mergers they had their own lineups according to the offers by Charter, TWC or BHN dependent on area. Which is why I recommend making a service appointment. It’s also possible you have the right box but have a signal issue that’s making you channels not show. But the cable store down the street routinely gave Playa Vista customers works boxes all the time basically making trouble calls. For example, Playa Vista used to have all legacy bulk accounts that require moca boxes. (I’ve had many customers tell me the call center person was telling them info about a box they didn’t have from ) The cable store people give the wrong boxes to customers all the time. The call center people read from scripts that often have the wrong info. I would make a service appointment and let a tech tell you if you have the newest box.Ī lot of the cable store people and people on the phone will give you bad information because they don’t know that legacy and newer Spectrum accounts require different boxes. They sent out letters back in April that you needed to swap these out. If you have a big silver cable box or a black cable box with no clock but a small green power light you are using an outdated ocap box. They are black with a clock and a blue power button. The newest boxes for these legacy accounts are moca boxes. If you have a legacy Time Warner Account with legacy rates you can’t use these boxes they don’t work on legacy accounts. They have no clock and say spectrum on the front with a pattern that looks like diamonds on the top.Įvery account can’t use world boxes though. They are are slim and black with a white light for the power button. If you live in another area outside of this you have different equipment than our office uses so I probably can’t tell you what model to get exactly. Post what model cable box you have and I can tell you if it’s outdated or what newer model you can use. If you live on the westside (beach cities to Beverly Hills and east to downtown, Inglewood or South LA) I can tell you exactly what equipment will work.
